CB 3 - 'Feed the Minds' Concert (et al)

The coloured backround to the table below indicates the date of the line-up of the group for the particular recording.
1963 1966 1968 1968 1975

There are two main recordings here. One is of the group at the Feed the Minds concert at the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool, on 30 April 1966.  There were two other groups at this booking (the Witnesses and the Newsham 5) but only the crossBeaTs songs are included here.  The sound is a little 'distant' and 'echoey' but clear enough; I suspect the recording was made using a single microphone in the concert hall.  The other main recording is one made in St Leonard's old hall on 10 February 1966 by Ian Fletcher - ostensibly for "Immediate Recordings" - it may have been a demo tape.  This is a better recording (I think a Ferrograph was used) - although there are signs of tape deterioration.  Two other 'odd' recordings are included (tracks 1 and 13).

Songs in green itlaics were NOT written by the group.  An MP3 download is available for the songs. The words of all the songs on this CD are available on this web site, and there is also a page of the chords used.
