These songs were recorded live at the Catacombs Coffee Bar in Manchester in the early part of 1968 (Saturday 20 January and Sunday 21 April), not long before Eric Knowles was to leave the group as drummer. So, this was just before the end of the second line-up of the group. This recording was probably made by Edwin Brain, a helper at the Catacombs. There is also a home recording of doing parts to a few songs in 1968.
