In May 1964, Dave Eastwood arranged for us to play at the Cliff College Weekend in Derbyshire. "Cliff" was a Methodist college which each year had a very popular Christian conference weekend. Unfortunately, the van Dave lent us broke down on the way, and we spent much of the first day on the Bold Road, just outside Warrington. We arrived in the early hours, and eventually got to bed. The accomodation was in tents as illustrated.  |
